My deceased (75) aunt was Margaret Hatfield (maiden name Wendelin for the WASP class) 43-W-6. Did you know her? Trying to contact either of her two daughters (Kathleen/Anita) or son (Richard) so see if they have material to contribute to the National WASP WWII museum at Avenger Field Texas.

Webguy was in error. Date of death and dropping of the atomic bomb on Hiroshima was AUGUST 6, 1945, not June 6th.

Dear Adeline,

I am writing my family genealogy book and came across your site in my search for the 6th Ferrying Group. My brother Lt. Walter G. Loos was in this group during the 1942-43 time period. He lived in Long Beach and married Maria Goodwin. During this time he flew missions over the Pacific. His B-24 was lost on Jan 16, 1944 on his first flight to Europe in British Guiana. In case you knew him or would like to share your memories of the 66th I would be most appreciative.
