I am so very very glad that this event was so successful! I’m sitting here with big tears in my eyes and I’m just so thrilled to look at the pictures of these beautiful and stoic women! I am not a pilot, but I’ve been around planes all my life. My father was a mechanic in the Army Air Corp Reserves during the early days of WWII and remained in aviation for most of my youth. Maybe one day I’ll get to take lessons. All of these terrific ladies are truly an inspiration.
I saw the piece on that KERA-TV here in Dallas did on the ladies and that’s how I found this website. I wish I could have been at Sweetwater on the day of this fly-in because I really wanted to meet them all! Hopefully I can make it to the museum in Sweetwater very soon.
